Josie was facing the door and I was just facing the other way. We were having dinner or lunch here? Somebody tapped me on the shoulder. “Hello, Chips,” he says. I knew right away it was Casey. He calls me “Chips” you know. He gave me the name Chip Warner. He wanted me to write by the name of Chips Warner. “If you use Bald Eagle”, he says. “Dave,” he says. “You'll never make it anywhere.” He wanted me to write by the name of Chips Warner. So I did. And here he told the truth. Politics. Yes. They didn't want any Indian to get famous, I guess.
